When I was a high school student Russell offered me a job performing various errands and tasks around the house and garden. He remains one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of working for. I still remember how every day he insisted upon me taking a break and sitting out on the patio with the family for lunch. I learned so much from him.
I offer my heart-felt condolences to Ellen and family.
